Thapelo

Serving in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa

Thapelo is married to Londi and was previously an assistant pastor at the church in South Africa where our minister, Ray Brown, worked for many years. He is passionate about gospel outreach among students and now works full time with an organisation called 'The Bible Talks' based at the universities of KwaZulu-Natal (in and around Durban).  This campus ministry has members from all year groups and across all kinds of courses, and aims to help students hear God speak as His Word, the Bible, is faithfully and clearly taught. Thapelo's role involves managing his team, preaching, leading Bible studies and discipling guys one-to-one.

Thapelo grew up in the Township of Soweto. This and many other Townships are rife with false gospel teaching, making them difficult places to bring the true gospel message and Thapelo sees student ministry as one of the key ways to reach these people. By evangelising and maturing students at university, these new Christians then take the gospel back to their townships and rural areas.
